Beautiful music and wonderful to work with! We're so happy we chose Jennifer to play at our daughter's wedding ceremony. Jennifer was responsive and professional. She provided clear instructions on song selection, deadlines, and performance area requirements. She was supportive and flexible when we needed to reschedule due to COVID-19. Jennifer was very pleasant to work with. She even arrived early to wish my daughter well prior to the ceremony. Jennifer and Laura played beautifully! We would absolutely recommend Jennifer Louie Violin &  Musicians" Judy B. Mother of the Bride, Fairhope, Alabama, Hamilton Place at Pursell Farms, Sylacauga, Alabama” - Judy B.

Jennifer Louie Violin & Musicians

  Artist Statement Regarding Weddings:

Multiple industry award winner and acclaimed violinist Jennifer Louie founded Jennifer Louie Violin & Musicians (JLVM) in 2002 when she discovered that couples with venues in rural areas did not have access to live ceremony music as easily in urban areas, Jennifer with her group began to travel throughout the state of Alabama and is sought after in surrounding states with features in “Alabama Weddings” “Carats & Cake”, “Wedding Wire” and “Zola” Her client’s wedding was featured in People magazine.

What makes Jennifer Louie Violin & Musicians stand out? At the state level, JLVM has won five WeddingWire Couples Choice Awards, the most for ceremony music in the state of Alabama.  Jennifer personally chooses a different violin and bow to perform for each wedding based on the space, songlist and ensemble size and couple. Her philosophy on sound is her and (JLVM) sound is natural (the secret is AMAZING violin technique) as heard on samples and acoustic is  the primary focus, with assistance with her battery-powered amplifier although on occasion, we’ll work with PA systems onsite. Jennifer and her musicians love to focus on their music-making to create a musical backdrop on the best day of your lives and the couple are the stars!   As a music director, Jennifer works with wedding planners and clients directly from the first email/phone call to the Christmas card list. Her musicians (too many to mention) are university music graduates with experience in weddings and symphonies and she performs with them regularly in the Southeast and has been with them for 10+ years and possess US citizenship.

Jennifer holds two music performance degrees, was elected to voting membership by her peers in the Recording Academy (GRAMMY awards) and a  member of ASCAP.
She teaches Suzuki Violin at The University of Alabama. She is active as a volunteer with charitable events, often giving time for golf tournaments and other events in her local community.

Jennifer Louie Violin & Musicians appreciates your consideration of inviting us to perform for wedding and considers it a HUGE honor.

"Jennifer did our ceremony and cocktail hour music for our wedding and she is amazing! She was kind, organized, and quick to respond throughout the whole process. She really took time to check-in on how we were personally doing and was very flexible when a few changes came up. She made the planning very easy with how organized she was, which was great. She easily became one of our favorite vendors. If you get to work with her, she will be a great asset to your special day."
